You may or may not already know this but there are a few resources where you can create a website for free. Yeah, free with no strings attached. Even the hosting is free. Why am I telling you this instead of convincing you to use us? Simply put, we are not a perfect fit for everybody, but we like to share what we know to help smaller businesses.

Some free web site resources

1. Free Blog Option: One well known source for anyone wanting to create a blog is Blogger.com. It's based off an average blog format, easy to setup, easy to maintain add to it and take away from it. It's a great solution for anyone wanting to get a website up quick.
2. A great free option that gives you lots of options, and it's pretty easy to use, is Weebly. They have some good management tools making it easy to add, delete and edit the content on all the pages. Really cool how they set it all up.
3. Another great resource for building a quick free website used to be called FreeWebs, but they changed their name to just Webs. It's easy and quick to set it up, you will have some paid options if you don't want ads displayed on your website, but you don't have to pay. They have an easy editor to get it up quickly and make management easy.
4. A fourth option is SynthaSite which allows you to create a working site for free.

It all means nothing if you don't plan your web site

All of these options could work for some small businesses, as long as you are aware going into it that you will not setup and create a website in a matter of minutes, even though that's what they claim. What you will find is that the setup is minutes, and then the actual building and inputting of information will take hours, even weeks. Sorry, that's the truth behind websites.

A good web site comes from proper planning and execution of your plan. Create objectives that you want the website to meet, expectations that you have, and then center the content around it. It's a lot harder than it sounds.
